Tender Shoots Garden Club Network (TSGCN)
Our club has joined the countrywide online network of garden clubs called Tender Shoots. Membership of this club will give our members access to additional Zoom talks at no extra cost to you. To access the benefits of this club you will need access to the internet and an email address. There will also be the following benefits to our members:  Access to all zoom talks & restricted members zoom talks  Discount of 50% on seeds & 15% on other items from Suttons for all members with our unique discount code (available on the ‘Private Members’ area)  Discount of 50% Kings Seeds for all members with our unique discount code (available on the ‘Private Members’ area)  Access to recordings of talks (when TS are able to record, not all talks are recorded) via the restricted ‘Private Members’ area on our website  Access to restricted plant lists & handouts (for our talks) via the ‘Private Members’ area
As part of our membership, we agree to share one of our meetings with the network of clubs. As we already hold our February meeting on Zoom we are sharing the first meeting of the year with those other clubs and so you can expect to see many more attendees at that meeting. The meeting will be opened by Gillian and Indy, who runs the TSGCN, before handing over to the speaker. At the end of the meeting, attendees can opt to move into ‘breakout rooms’ (basically smaller groups).
There are two ways to access the talks and benefits:
1. To log onto the restricted areas using a password. This password should only be shared with our members and not passed to other non-members. (We will have details of the password available at our meetings). However, the password will be changed from time to time).
2. We can register individual members a part of our club membership. You would need to agree to us sharing your email address with TSGCN. This is the easiest way to log onto the member benefits. You will log on with your own email address following the steps below.
a. Log into the TS website: https://tendershoots.uk
b. Hover your mouse over the ‘Private Login’ and then move down to ‘Members Login with Email’ and click.
c. Enter your email address and click the box ‘Sign in with email’
d. A security email will be sent to your own email box and once you open the link you will be in the TSGCN site.
If you would like to be registered for access in this way then please in the first instance email our club email whittinghamgardeningclub@gmail.com asking us to register you. It is important you do this from your own email account or the account that you will be using as that is where the link for your access will be sent.
Please take a few minutes to log onto the TSGCN where you will see some previous talks and get an idea what the network is about.
