07 February Guy Deakins (Zoom) in a topical and fascinating talk 'Schrodinger’s Garden', we will learn how our brains perceive gardens and how gardening and gardens can enhance our mental and physical wellbeing.  All set, remarkably, against the findings of Erwin Schrodinger’s 'cat' experiment!


 









 
 
07 March 'The Great Gardens of Great Britain' by Andrew Babicz. Postponed from last year, and a new speaker for the club. From Sissinghurst to Kew and from Levens Hall to Harlow Carr, Andrew will be speaking about them all in his illustrated talk on the 'Great Gardens of Great Britain'. He will also be telling us which has the best tea and cakes!
 
04 April  'It Ain't Rocket Science - No, it's far more complicated' by Alan Clark
 
02 May  Katy Langley. Another speaker new to the club. World Bee Day takes place in May and to celebrate this we have local beekeeper Katy who will be telling us all about Bees and other pollinators There will also be local honey and hive products for sale. 

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

06 June  Lesley Gamblin - a former county organiser for the Essex NGS, Lesley will be giving an illustrated talk about growing Sweet Peas and the history of sweet pea growing in Essex.

04 July  VISIT - NO MEETING IN THE HALL. NOTE 7PM START TIME. In a first for the club, we will be meeting at 7pm at Chestnuts Farm allotments (off Chingford Road) to visit a member’s allotment and learn all about the reality of getting and maintaining an allotment and get ideas of what to grow.

01 August Mike Abel – Mike, who has experience both as a commercial fruit grower and as a lecturer at Writtle College, will be talking on Soft Fruit Growing.

05 September  TBC

03 Octoberthe owners of Rose Cottage Plants, a local nursery based in Epping Green, will talking about growing 'Perennials'.

07 November – AGM - followed by Quiz

05 December – Christmas themed evening with a bring and share buffet.
